Everything you need to know to make the most of your lakefront stay
Please follow these guidelines to keep things smooth for all guests and neighbors.
The driveway can accommodate 3–4 cars, depending on their size. You can also park one vehicle next to the Kennedy Kabin sign adjacent to the street. Poles with chains are located beside the sign.
If the driveway is full, overflow parking is available at 320 State Highway — about a 5-minute walk from the house. Look for the Kennedy Kabin sign and park to the right of it, pulling as far right as possible so you don't intrude on current guests' parking area.
During winter months, 4WD or chains may be required. Mountain roads can be steep and icy — plan accordingly and check road conditions before your drive up.
Boat trailers cannot be parked in the driveway or on the street. Trailer parking is available at nearby public lots — ask us for directions.
Tip: GPS can be unreliable in the mountains. We'll send detailed driving directions with your booking confirmation.
The private dock is one of the best features of the Waterfront Cabin. Help us keep it safe and enjoyable.
Swimming from the dock is at your own risk. There is no lifeguard on duty. Children must be supervised at all times when near the water or on the dock.
The dock can accommodate small watercraft (kayaks, paddleboards, etc.). No motorized boats may be tied to the dock without prior approval. Please don't drag boats across the dock surface.
The dock area follows community quiet hours — please keep noise to a minimum after 10:00 PM. Sound carries far across the water, especially at night.
Fishing from the dock is welcome! A valid California fishing license is required for anyone 16 and older. Please clean up all tackle, bait, and fish remains.
Lake Arrowhead note: The lake is a private lake managed by the Arrowhead Lake Association. Watercraft permits may be required — we'll provide details before your stay.
Mountain living means wildlife is nearby. Proper trash handling keeps everyone — including the bears — safe.
On checkout day, please place all trash and recycling cans at the designated area by the Kennedy Kabin sign at the road. If the cans are full, put them there as well.
All trash must go in the designated bear-proof bins located at the side of the property. Never leave trash bags outside the bins, on the porch, or in your vehicle overnight — bears will find it.
Recycling bins are provided alongside the trash bins. Please separate recyclables (cans, bottles, cardboard) from general waste. Rinse containers before recycling.
Trash and recycling pickup is weekly. If bins are full during your stay, please let us know and we'll arrange an extra pickup. Do not leave overflow bags outside the bins.
Why it matters: Bears that get into human food become habituated and often have to be relocated or worse. Keeping trash secure protects them and future guests.
Stay connected during your mountain retreat.

The cabin is equipped with high-speed WiFi that covers the entire property, including the deck and dock area. The network name and password are posted inside the cabin near the front door.
The connection supports streaming on multiple devices — Netflix, YouTube, and video calls all work great. The smart TV in the living room is connected and ready to use with your own accounts.
While our connection is reliable, mountain internet can occasionally be affected by weather or outages. If you experience any issues, try restarting the router (located in the living room closet) — unplug for 30 seconds and plug back in.
Many guests work remotely from the cabin. We recommend the dining table or living room for the best signal. A dedicated workspace area with power outlets is available near the kitchen.
Pro tip: Download movies and shows before heading up the mountain, just in case. Cell service can be spotty in parts of Lake Arrowhead — WiFi calling works great on our network.
